Know Your Numbers
High blood pressure and high cholesterol levels lead to heart disease and stroke.
Know Your Numbers is all about getting your blood pressure and cholesterol checked regularly.
It is important to keep blood pressure and cholesterol in check through a combination of
- more physical activity (at least 30 minutes of exercise five times a week)
- eating a healthier diet including more fruit and vegetables
- trying to keep alcohol-free days and staying within recommended weekly limits
- if a smoker, making use of NHS Stop Smoking services to help you give up.
