Workplace health: Occupational health
Back pain and RSI
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are the most common occupational illness in Great Britain, affecting a million people a year. They include problems such as low back pain, joint injuries and repetitive strain injuries of various sorts.
Tackling back pain needs good management and a partnership approach. Employers, workers and others, such as safety representatives and trade union safety representatives, all have roles to play in this approach.
