Regional action
The Regional Government Office Interdepartmental Alcohol Harm Reduction Programme Board is a cross Government group (chaired by the Department of Health and the Home Office ) which will focus challenge and support on the areas across the East Midlands which are facing the greatest challenges around alcohol harm reduction.

The Regional Alcohol Harm Reduction Coordinators Group comprises of the strategic leads on alcohol harm reduction from the nine unitary and two-tier areas across the region. This group will help to ensure the implementation of Safe. Sensible. Social. across the East Midlands, acting as a reference group for the Programme Board and the national Delivery Groups. The coordinators group will also work together on areas where regional collaboration will have greater impact (e.g. communications on alcohol).
The East Midlands Alcohol Harm Reduction Network consists of people from a wide range of organisations around the region who have an interest in alcohol harm reduction. These people receive the bi‑monthly newsletter and are invited to good practice sharing seminars.
