'Blue Friday'
3rd National Anti-Bullying Week, 20-24 November 2006
Anti Bullying is a key issue in the National Healthy Schools Programme and an important issue to reduce injury rates.
November 20th - 24th is the third National Anti Bullying Week organised by the Anti Bullying Alliance. This year the week focuses on the important role of the bystander in efforts to reduce bullying and the harm it causes. A range of activities is being organised including Blue Friday on the final day of Anti Bullying Week. On Blue Friday - the idea of a young person - children, young people and adults are encouraged to wear blue to show their solidarity against bullying. Building on the success of the anti bullying wristbands in 2005, for 2006 Anti Bullying Alliance is delighted to announce they are producing a unique Anti Bullying Tag.
