The Boardroom

The Boardroom

Forget self-righteous anti-smoking lectures, faceless statistics and scare tactics - this show will make you cry, squirm and laugh out loud. Combining dance, drama, comedy and song, The Boardroom was originally developed by Post 16 pupils at Hind Leys Community College, Leicestershire with input from Metro Boulot Dodo and Rob Gee. The performance shows what can happen when young people are charged with the responsibility to deliver a crucial message to other young people.

The show is part of the cr8 Healthier Leicestershire programme, managed by Leicester Comedy Festival in partnership with Leicestershire County Council and Leicestershire Healthy Schools. Funding was provided by Arts Council England East Midlands.

Nick Payne

Graphic Recorder

Nick Payne

As a graphic recorder, Nick visually captures conversations and presentations as they happen and so helps to organise the thinking behind them.

Nick has been working as an independent graphic recorder & facilitator since 2004, when he was delighted to discover that the way he naturally thought and worked was a recognised profession.

Since then he has worked successfully with a wide variety of businesses and public and non-profit organisations in the UK and Europe (e.g. Pepsico, the Arts Council, Universities and refugee organisations) on conferences, management training programmes, workshops, key meetings and with individuals with one-to-one visual thinking and problem solving.

At the conference Nick will be recording the contributions of the keynote speakers and of the delegates. Delegates are encouraged to participate in the process.

Nick holds an honours degree in Politics and Government, a professional certificate in Management from the Open University and has many years of practical management experience in the not-for-profit sector.
